Personal History of this Vehicle:This was my father’s Jaguar, which he cherished deeply. He was the only owner and spect this vehicle out to the last detail when he purchased it.Unfortunately, he passed away just before Thanksgiving.He was a lifelong Jaguar enthusiast. His first dream car was an E-Type, which he owned years ago and had restored to perfection. That car eventually sold at auction for $250,000! Over the years, he also owned an XJS and an XK, but this one was by far his favorite.He didn't always have the money for these types of things. He started off walking too and from McDonalds in upstate NY as a fry guy (before they were on every block.)He worked his way through management retiring as a Vice President of International Operations. Since he worked so hard for what he earned he always really appreciated and took great care of his things.Since he acquired this later in life, he drove it as you’d expect a man in his late 70s who struggled to get in and out of it would—cautiously. Eventually, he had me (his second-oldest son) occasionally drive him around in it.While my own car preferences lean more practical, I’ll admit there’s something transformative about revving the engine on this beast that inspires deep joy.The V6 provides plenty of power—more than enough for anyone sane—and the exhaust note always gets compliments from passengers. One unique feature is how Jaguar engineered the vehicle to give a quick rev as soon as you turn the ignition.
